I I think out of all the social networks I participate in, Instagram involves the most of my “real life” friends, aside from facebook . It is a bit repetitive to dig through food posts and selfies, but it’s pretty much the only way I know what’s up with my friends. I rarely see my friends now, aside from a few encounters with Binh, whom shuns social networking, and Lily, obviously.

But digging deeper on what’s on instagram, I see what kind of people my friends are. Mind you, I’m no exception to this. But I look through and it’s just a big contest.

Of how much better my food is. Of the beautiful places I get to go to. Look at my slim waist. Gucci belt, get on my level. Yum, sangria! And this makes me a bit guilty for saying, but the young mothers.

I’m not denying the love you have for your babies, but every single picture includes the mother’s face in half of that little square, carefully positioned to show the best side and your perfect bangs. C’mon now.

But I can deal with that, a little vanity to take of those kids, you’ve earned it. What I really fucking hate is fitspo whatever folk on instagram. If there’s one collaborative group of douches on instagram, it would be those fitspo fucks. It’s not the constant updates of healthy eating, gym mirror shots, or even bragging about PR’s.

It’s cool, it’s instagram. It’s a quick instant shot of your life, cool. You’re entitled to that shit. But is it really that hard to be decent?

Seriously, condescending remarks annoy the hell out of me. Which is ironic. I look down on people that are condescending. It’s just obnoxious how boastful these folk get. Then it goes into comments. Comment on other people’s food posts. You’re not their fucking mom, don’t tell them how to eat. Then they refer to a safer insult, posting a meme, usually referring to the need for women to squat.

Shut the fuck up. How about the need for you to get a fucking job.

It transfer to day to day life too. I went to my brother’s place to visit his kids, and all his friends were talking smack about how they can bench more. Getting red over their plans. Of course they ask me about it.

“I haven’t workout in a while, just focused on working.”

And they always smirk. Heh. It’s easy to smirk when you have no work or responsibility. It makes sense why you’re at the gym 5 hours a day, you got nothing else to do. And when you’re bored, you can go on instagram to post another meme.

I just wanna see your motorcycle builds, a piece of artwork you surprised yourself with, an embarrassing photo of your friend. Man, I don’t know anymore. I just hate everything
